The Baseline Review

Inspiring stories from the hardwood as told by a dream team of writers and illustrators.

We love hoops, history, and the art of printmaking. That’s why we’re creating a book celebrating 50 iconic players in NBA history. We’ve teamed up with more than 40 amazing writers and illustrators to dig into these inspiring stories from the hardwood.

We’ve assembled a creative dream team that includes NBA Hall of Famers, New York Times bestselling authors and illustrators, and prominent contributors from the worlds of sports and journalism. We’re so hyped!

The complete book is targeted for Spring 2028 and will be published in collaboration with a major publisher like our friends at Random House or Insight Editions. The Baseline Review is produced by Editor-in-Chief JP Boneyard & Fifty-Nine Parks.

SCREENPRINTED STORIES?
Ok, so you’re probably thinking “Why the H would you make screenprinted—and giclee—versions of these stories?” We’re leaning into our printmaking background to make something unique that will also help us kickstart the rest of the content for the full book. In short, when you buy an individual story for your favorite player, we will use those funds to produce the next story.

A portion of the sale of each stand-alone story is donated to basketball youth programs in the USA.
